The Tech Mahindra serves globally, and thus, to encourage their customers to adopt more cloud-based technologies, the company has decided to collaborate with IBM and set up innovation centers. According to them, one innovation center would be set up in Bengaluru, sometime in 2020. Later, more centers are likely to be opened in North America and the UK.

The innovation centers are going to showcase IBM’s digital transformation solutions for solving complex business problems. Cloud-based technologies can help in healthcare, telecommunication, financial services, manufacturing, insurance, and retail sectors.
“The collaboration with IBM will help us accelerate the development of cloud-based applications for our customers and build multi-cloud data management solutions on the industry-leading hybrid platform. The commitment to building Innovation Centers aligns with our TechMNxt charter, an initiative that leverages emerging technology to solve real-world business problems for customers,” Pawan Sharma, president & global head of strategic initiatives at Tech Mahindra, said in a press statement.

The centers are focused on displaying the CloudPaks, which are containerized software solutions. They can help enterprises move their core business applications to any cloud faster and more securely.

While Infosys and HCL saw a decline in quarter four results, IBM’s first-quarter results have seen a considerable increase from Red Hat and cloud services. The revenue went up by 5% from the cloud and cognitive software. Also, the total cloud revenue grew by 19% for the quarter. This could be the reason for their interest in developing cloud-based technologies.

With the pandemic too, the cloud is a good way of working too, as the work can be done from any part of the world and simply uploaded it to the cloud.
