Director Girish Malik’s Torbaaz is an action-packed, thriller drama series with a tinge of ‘sporty’ flavour. Malik has cast Sanjay Dutt in a leading role with Nargis Fakhri and Rahul Dev alongside as prominent characters.
This movie focuses on the issue of child suicide bombers in Afghanistan, who are trained to believe that killing their enemy is a virtue and glory in the afterlife. Sanjay Dutt plays the lead role of a former army officer, who lost his wife and son to a suicide attack. He reaches Kabul to help his friend Ayesha (Nargis Fakhri) who runs an NGO for children. Initially reluctant, he finally agrees to act as a mediator decides on playing Cricket with the kids in the refugee camps and thus cricket becomes the salt to this story recipe. Of course, there is a suicide bomber among them trained by Qazar (Rahul Dev). Watch this movie now to know what happens next!
Torbaaz was majorly shot in Bishkek and was planned for May 2019 theatrical release but was postponed to mid-2020. As cinemas were shut down to the COVID-19 pandemic, the film is now released on streaming platforms giant Netflix, on 11th December.
