UP government allows ‘6 continuous process industries’ to function in the state

After the end of lockdown 2.0, the government declared lockdown 3.0, where only the green zone and the orange zone will have some relaxation. But, there are some guidelines to follow by every industry.

The order which is released by Central government says, “The activities prohibited across the country include travel by air, rail and road; operation of educational and training institutions; industrial and commercial activities; hospitality services; all cinema halls; shopping complexes; theatres etc.; all social-political and other events; and opening of all religious places, places of worship for members of public, including religious congregations, based on performance in containing the Covid-19 disease.”
Uttar Pradesh government has issued guidelines for 6 industries which is falling under continuous process industries.

These industries include:

  1. Chemical
  2. Fertilizer units
  3. Cement
  4. Steel
  5. Foundries
  6. Paper mills

The chief secretary of UP, RK Tiwari issued this order. They made an arrangement for the smooth running of these industries. Besides, sugar, salt, flour other 6 industries are added.
The chief secretary said these industries will work with only 50% of manpower resource. These decision has been taken to stop the spread of coronavirus.
