Virat Kohli, only Indian athlete in Forbes top 100 highest-paid athletes

The right-handed Indian captain batsman Virat Kohli is the only cricketer which has been listed in the Forbes magazine 2020 as the top 100 highest-paid athletes. It has been stated that Kohli is been ranked at number 66 with total earnings of $26 million as he has made a
jump of over 30 places from 2019 onwards. As per the Forbes magazine, Virat Kohli used to earn a $24 million from his endorsements, while the total estimate which came from his salary and winnings is around to be just $2 million.

As per the sources, it has been disclosed that American footballers have occupied 31 spots none higher than six-times super bowl champion Tom Brady who used to earn around $45 million and has been ranked as 25th. While the basketball players have led all the sports
with the 35 players ranked among the top 100. It has been observed that among all the sports, the soccer has been most represented sports with 14 players which have been further followed by tennis, then boxing and mixed martial arts, golf with four players, motor
racing, baseball and at last cricket with one each player.

Senior editor i.e. Kurt Badenhausen of Forbes magazine has reported to the official magazine team that the prevailing pandemic virus coronavirus has set off the salary cuts for the soccer star clearing the way for a tennis player to be ranked as the world’s highest-paid
athlete for the first time. According to the annual Forbes list which used to release on every Friday, stated that Roger became the world’s highest-paid athlete for 2020 because the prevailing pandemic virus Covid-19 has kicked off the soccer’s Lionel Messi off top spot.

All those factors which are been listed in the Forbes magazine calculations regarding the athletes’ revenue include the prize money, salaries, contract bonuses, endorsements, royalties and appearance fees which has been computed up from June 1’2019 to June 1’2020. It has been observed that Virat Kohli is only Indian to be listed in the Forbes magazine list out of the top 100 highest-paid athletes. Previously in the year 2019, Virat Kohli has been positioned at the 100th place with estimated earnings of $25 million. Before the Kohli, Swiss tennis player Roger with the estimated earnings of $106.3 million which he had earned over the past 12 months is been featured as the first sports player in the top list of Forbes of highest-paid athletes.

Apart from this information, it has been observed that another three athletes are immediately below the Federer are all the football players that include Ronaldo which has been ranked as the second with the estimated earnings of $105 million. The Argentine great Lionel Messi is been ranked as the third in the Forbes list with an estimated $104 million earning while another athlete who is from Brazil i.e. Neymar has been listed as the fourth one with the estimated earnings of $95.5 million.

As per the data revealed by the Forbes Magazine, the national basketball association stars which come in the list with Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James with estimated earnings of around $88.2 million, then came all the golden state warriors which include the star Stephen curry with estimated earnings of $74.4 million, further following the Brooklyn nets superstar Kevin Durant with the total earning of $63.9 million. It has been listed that the Japanese star is the highest-paid female athlete with earnings of $37.4 million.

Earlier, as per the Forbes magazine, the tennis star has been ranked as 29th among other athletes. Although, the US great tennis player i.e. Serena Williams with estimated earnings of $36 million has been ranked as the 33rd in the Forbes magazine.
