Famous actor Emraan Hashmi and director Mohit Suri are Alia Bhatt's maternal cousins. Emraan Hashmi is related to the Bhatts from their Muslim mother's side. Mohit Suri is a great director but however, he finds it difficult to cast Alia Bhatt in her movie.
Alia Bhatt also performed at a charity eventto raise funds for the flood affected victims of Uttarakhand along with Varun Dhawan, Siddhartha Malhotra, Aditya Roy Kapur, Shraddha Kapoor and Huma Qureshi.
Alia Bhatt sang an unplugged version of the hit song 'Samjhawan' in her movie 'Humpy Sharma Ki Dulhaniya' which was super hit at the box office.
