Namita Thapar, one of the investors of Shark Tank India Season 1 is the CEO of Emcure Pharmaceuticals Limited headquartered in Pune Maharashtra and also India’s leading businesswoman and has invested in a total of 25 startups so far.
She has completed her primary and secondary school from Pune Maharashtra. Namita was a bright student and had a focus only on
academics. After her schooling, she pursued her b.com from Savitri bai Phule Maharashtra university. Namita also pursued Chartered
Accountancy from ICAI. After that, she completed her MBA degree from Fuqua School of Business at Dukes University, North Carolina. Namita completed her education at the most reputed colleges in town.
But that is not it, after her post-graduation, Namita got placed in a medical device company in the USA, she served the company for 6 years as a business finance lead, Afterwards, she joined Emcure Pharmaceuticals as a CFO, and now she is the CEO of Emcure Pharmaceuticals.
In 2017, Namita founded Incredible Ventures Ltd. which is an educational company to develop entrepreneurship skills amongst
children. It branches in Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Bangalore, Ahemdabad.
Apart from this Namita is also a public speaker and has held various speeches in Havard Business School, IIM, and FICCI.
