Piyush Bansal, India’s leading entrepreneur, is the founder and chief executive of Lenskart, the most successful eyewear industry in India.
He was also one of the sharks of the business reality show shark tank India. Piyush has invested Rs. 6.346 crores in 23 startups so far.
Education
Piyush was born in New Delhi. He did his schooling at Don Bosco High school, New Delhi. As stated by Peyush in one of the episodes of shark tank, he wanted to get into an IIT but unfortunately, he couldn’t make it through. Still, he managed to study abroad to pursue a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from McGill University in Canada. Later he pursued a one-year post-graduation diploma in entrepreneurship from the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIM, Bangalore), MPEFB was his subject of interest.
Career
Piyush worked as a programmer in Microsoft in 2007 but decided to quit and founded Lenskart in the year 2010. Piyush has also collaborated with different entrepreneurs in building companies like Turms, Alpha, Infeedo, and Dailyobjects.
Piyush is a tech geek and his knowledge and skills have helped many budding entrepreneurs who pitched their ideas on the panel.
