Ankita Lokhande is an Indian TV and film actress. Ankita became a household name with the well-known TV show Pavitra Rishta, in which she appeared opposite Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput. After TV, Ankita appeared in Bollywood with the film Manikarnika, in which she played the role of Jhalkari Bai.
Ankita was born on 19 December 1984 in Indore, Madhya Pradesh in a Maharashtrian family. Ankita’s father Shashikant Lokhande is a banker by profession and their mother Vandana Pandis is a teacher by profession. Ankita has two younger siblings, Suraj Lokhande and Jyoti Lokhande. Ankita was fond of acting since childhood. After graduating in 2005, Ankita’s acting bug brought her from Indore to Mumbai. During college, Ankita has also been a state-level badminton player.
Ankita started her TV career in the year 2006 with the talent hunt reality show Idea Zee Cinestar. After this, Ankita got her first and biggest break in the TV world in Ekta Kapoor’s show Pavitra Rishta. Ankita played two roles in this show, Archana and Ankita. Ankita was associated with this show for almost 5 years. Ankita became immensely popular with this show and she came to be known as Archana from house to house.
