Manushi Chillar recently attended the 76th Cannes Film Festival, making her Cannes debut. As she crossed the red carpet, the actress dazzled onlookers with her stunning appearance. Her designer has now disclosed that the garment took 800 hours to manually construct and features 100 layers of Italian silk tulle.
At Cannes, Manushi Chillar made a striking entrance in a white corset wedding dress. The actress accessorised the outfit with simple jewellery by designer Renu Oberoi and pink shoes. Sheefa J. Gilani, a fashion stylist, gave the actress an extremely gorgeous outfit.
The designer uploaded a video of the outfit’s creation and commented, “Our objective for this wedding dress was to be feminine yet powerful, and artful yet wearable. The actress was spotted wearing Fovari’s design. 100 layer of Italian silk tulle were carefully pleated by hand to create this magnificent creation, which was also gently draped. 800 people worked in its construction.
The video shared by the designer had the following written under it, “Sustainability is about preserving the connective thread between our planet, ourselves, and each other. It’s about understanding what we wear 1 every stitch and thread either reaffirms the status quo or declares a commitment to sustainability.”
