On the second day of the current international film festival in Cannes (May 17), Sara Ali Khan made a comeback to the red carpet. The actress once more vowed allegiance to the sense of style envisioned by Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla.
The actress made her second appearance in a black-and-white satin attire after strutting down the red carpet in a voluminous lehenga at Cannes 2023’s opening ceremony. She wore a saree-inspired dress with a fusion tadka on her head.
She was dressed in an off-white trailing skirt of satin with a drape. The skirt and drape both featured an elaborate border with tiny beads and crystals going around it. The skirt’s pleats and the drape that was connected to it gave the normally conventional saree shape a modern twist. The actress chose a seductive halter-neck bralette embellished with detailed crystals and jewels in flowery patterns. We must also mention that the edgy backless blouse with the plunging neckline was a stylish complement.
As they posted pictures of Sara wearing the monochromatic suit, the designer team said, “Sara’s ensemble captures the essence of modern Indian fashion at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival.”
