Boney Kapoor has reacted to reports that his daughter Khushi Kapoor will make her acting debut in Zoya Akhtar’s Netflix adaptation of Archie comics alongside Suhana Khan and Agastya Nanda. Late Actress Sridevi’s daughter Khushi Kapoor is making her acting debut with Shah Rukh Khan’s daughter Suhana khan and Amitabh Bachchan’s grandson Agastya Nanda.
Amidst the news, her father Boney Kapoor said that he does not get anything. It was recently reported by Pinkvilla that Khushi Kapoor, Suhana Khan, and Agastya Nanda are going to make their debut in an adaptation of the Netflix series ‘Archies’. When asked about this, Boney Kapoor said I do not know anything about it, I do not know what you are talking about.
Previously he would tell the leading daily that he is reluctant to launch Khushi himself. He said that I have a resource but, I want someone else to launch her because I am her father and a person who becomes gracious. You cannot do this as a filmmaker and neither is it good for an actor to point to Khushi being launched by another famous filmmaker.
He further said that he wants Khushi to find her place and be launched by someone whom he respects and for whom he feels safe. Khushi had said in “BFFs with Vogue” hosted by Neha Dhupia that she trusts Karan Johar to launch her but it is her father’s responsibility to choose her first Co-star Khushi’s sister Janhvi Kapoor was also launched by Karan Johar.
