Gangubai Kathiawadi is an upcoming Bollywood movie. The genre of the film is a biographical crime drama. The film is directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and produced by Jayanti Lal Gada and Sanjay Leela Bhansali. It is based on a biopic drama genre book written by Hussain Zaidi Mafia Queens of Mumbai.
The shooting of the film Gangubai started in December 2019 but was stopped in March 2020 due to the increase in the cases of covid in India, the film was 70% complete, later the shooting resumed on 6th October 2020, And was ready for post-production from 26th June 2021.
But still, as the theatres were closed, the makers decided to wait for a few more months. The theatres are now open but still, the films released in the last two months have not collected well at the box office.
The film is reportedly made with a budget of 45 to 50 crores, though no official announcement has been made by the makers about the production cost of the film. But reports and sources say that the film is awaiting a big release due to the big budget.
