Kanika Kapoor issues clarification to the public on Instagram regarding the controversy over her travel history

Kanika Kapoor, the first Bollywood celebrity who was tested positive for the dangerous coronavirus. Singer Kanika Kapoor was criticised a lot as she didn’t quarantine herself after returning from the UK and putting the lives of many others in danger later she was tested positive for the coronavirus. It was reported that she came in contact with many people as she attended parties and social gatherings. According to some reports she hosted the party. She was trolled forcefully and loudly on social media for escaping the screening test at the airport when she arrived as well as for hiding her travel history.

Kanika Kapoor has recently recovered from coronavirus. She has spoken for the first time after getting discharged through a statement to her family, neighbours and friends she had stated that they choose to remain quiet so that the truth can prevail and the people can achieve what they desired. In her statement, she had stated that “Every person that I have come in contact with be it in UK, Mumbai or Lucknow has shown no symptoms of Covid-19. In fact, all those tested have been negative” she revealed her travel history and said, “I travelled from the UK to Mumbai on March 10 and was duly screened at the international airport.

I travelled to Lucknow the following day on March 11 to see my family. There was no screening set up for domestic flights. On March 14 and 15 I attended a friend’s lunch and dinner. There was no party hosted by me and I was in absolute normal health. I have symptoms on March 17 and 18 so I requested to be tested.”

She also thanked doctors and medical staff for taking care of her during a very serious time she adds that she has been at home for 21 days now.
A few days back an FIR was filed against Kanika Kapoor at Sarojini Nagar Police Station in Lucknow under sections Section 269 (an act of not taking care likely to spread infection of disease dangerous to life), 270 (malignant act likely to spread infection of disease dangerous to life), 188 (disobedience to order duly promulgated by public servant of the IPC.) later Narendra Agarwal, the one who filed a complaint against Kanika Kapoor, stated that a there was a confusion regarding the information about the singer.
