Actor Ajay Devgn is speculated to start shooting for filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s upcoming movie Gangubai Kathiawadi from Saturday. The film features actor Alia Bhatt as Gangubai, one of the most powerful, loved and respected madams from Kamathipura during the 1960s.
A photo of a smiling Ajay from the sets surfaced on social media and well, it has brought cheer among the superstar’s fans. The superstar reported on the set on time to kick off his first project with Alia Bhatt. As per our report, Ajay will be seen in a pivotal role in the film and it will be the one that will showcase ‘dynamic chemistry’ between the two stars.
In the photo that was shared on Ajay Devgn Instagram handle, we can see Ajay clad in a black shirt as he held a script in his hand. The actor smiled widely while reuniting with Bhansali after many years. The caption reads as “ Back to Sanjay sir after two decades, feels good.”
Meanwhile, the film’s teaser was released on Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s birthday and it managed to intrigue the audiences. Earlier this week the first teaser of the film, which stars Alia Bhatt in the titular role of Gangubai Kathiawadi, was released by the production house. Alia is playing brothel owner Gangubai Kathiawadi of the 1960s, who ruled Kamathipura with an iron fist. She has been lauded for her spirited performance.
Sanjay celebrated his birthday by releasing the teaser on February 24. Alia was seen at his birthday party but what caught everyone’s attention was her Gangubai style namaste, when prodded by waiting cameramen.
