Amit Shah and Rajnath Singh inaugurates the DRDO Covid care hospital in New Delhi

The Defence Research and Development Organisation with support of Tata sons Ltd have created a hospital to cater to COVID-19 patients. The hospital has been created at a pace of 11 days.

Inaugurated by Amit Shah and Rajnath Singh at 12pm on Sunday, the hospital has 1000 beds with various intensive care facilities. It will have 100 ICU beds, 750 general beds, and 150 high dependency beds.

About 600 armed forces members will be deployed here to ensure work efficiency and safety. Doctors from all over the country have been chosen to work in the high-class facility to provide the best care to the patients.

The hospital wards pay tribute to the soldiers who lost their lives in the Galwan clash. The ICU ward has been named as Col B Santosh Babu Ward. All the wards are fully air-conditioned.

The hospital has been created after an alert for a shortage of beds for COVID-19 patients and the number of positive cases increases in the Delhi region every day. Delhi currently has about 94,600+ cases with 65,000+ recoveries and 2,23 deaths.
