In Srinagar, an encounter broke out between the militants and the security forces of the shopping district of Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday as said by the police.
The encounter occurred as a result of the militants opening the firing on the search party of the security forces at Melhora in Zenapora district area as the police officials said in an interview.
It was further told that the security forces retailed and the gunfight was going on, for the time being, the area has been cordoned off and there is a wait for any further details by higher authorities.
It has been said by the police officials that the search operation had turned in to an encounter when the militants fired a gunshot on the search party. Two or three militants are believed to best lock in the area after the area get sealed temporarily.
