“Domestic airlines have opened bookings for his or her flights from June onwards,” one among the sources said. SpiceJet source informed international flight bookings are open from June 15. Indigo and Vistara are taking bookings for domestic flights.

“We understand 6E (IndiGo), SpiceJet, GoAir has started taking bookings for international flights, imagining that flights will operate from 1st June. Pl don’t fall for it. Ur money will become a credit shell, instead, keep it safe reception,” Air Passengers Association of India (APAI) National President Sudhakara Reddy tweeted.

When airlines didn’t refund customers within the first phase of the lockdown for the cancelled flights, the civil aviation ministry asked domestic carriers to pay a full refund to customers whose booked tickets were cancelled during that lockdown period. Instead of the refund, a credit shell was issued to the victim passengers. People out a plea on social media for the same, so an advisory was issued.

It mentioned that any ticket booked between the lockdown period of March 25 to May 3 is entitled to get full refund without any cancellation charges. There has been no advisory since then.
