Director Buddhasaheb Dasgupta’s Anwar ka Ajab Kissa was produced in 2013 but wasn’t released until the end of this year. Streaming on Eros Now, this movie is based on the journey of a detective who is on his path of self-discovery, as he stumbles upon his past while solving a case.
This main character of this movie Anwar is played by the very talented and versatile Nawazuddin Siddiqui, who is a private detective. His love interest Ayesha (Niharika Singh) got married to another man and so Anwar has no other company except for his pet dog Lalu. As a person, he is very clumsy and habitually gets involved in the personal lives of his clients.
Anwar takes a case in his rural hometown to find Anmol (Pankaj Tripathi) where he comes face-to-face with his past Ayesha. Well, what happens next? Watch this 2 hour-long emotional drama to know more!
This film has already received immense appreciation from the critics after its premiere at the BFI London Film Festival and International Film Festival of Kerala in 2013.
