Assam Government imposed a curfew in the state form 6 pm to 6 am starting today

The North-Eastern state, Assam’s Government has made some relaxations and regulations for the Lockdown 3.O starting today. The Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has revealed the rules and said they were according to the guidelines by MHA.

The Government has called for a curfew in the state from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. each day. The curfew will be imposed from today, viz, May 4; though some relaxations have been allowed in some areas.

The total state with 33 districts has been categorized into 29 green zones and 4 orange zones. Happily, there are no red zones in the state.
The state of Assam has reported a total of 42 cases till date, out of which one died and 32 recovered. The other cases are active right now.
The movement of people in the curfew period is strictly restricted all across the state, except for medical, fire, telecom, police, electricity such emergencies. All private clinics will remain open.

Standalone shops in all areas, except in malls can be operated till 5 p.m. only.
Private vehicles are allowed to move. A driver and two passengers in a car, and a pillion rider who is a female or a child below 12 years are allowed on a motorcycle.

Moving to public transport, taxis and auto-rickshaws can move with 2 passengers at most, following the social distancing norms. Inter-district and Intra-district buses are allowed with 50 % capacity, and only half of the buses under ASTC( Assam State Transport Corporation) are allowed to run. These are not permitted to stop in the red and orange zones, except to take passes.

The construction works can be carried with 50% of people. All food outlets are allowed for take-aways or home delivery services. All other places like malls, gyms, parks, theatres, etc. will be closed until any further notice.
Private offices are also permitted with 50% strength. But female staff with kids less than 5 years are not allowed.
