Mira and Shahid got married in 2015 in Delhi and had their first child, daughter Misha, in 2016. Just nine months after their marriage the couple disclosed the news of their pregnancy. While many were happy about the news some people criticised it also. Mira was only 21 when she got pregnant and people thought it to be too early for her to have a kid when she herself is a kid.
Shahid was criticised badly for this. The couple had an age difference of 13 years and many saw this as a reason for their so fast pregnancy. Two years later the couple has another son Zain.
To all the trolls regarding their pregnancy, Shahid slammed the troller in an interview saying,
“I don’t give importance to people who try to get importance by criticizing those who are important. Just because she [Mira] got married early, doesn’t mean she doesn’t have an identity. Today, women do what they feel like doing. And, as men, we should respect that.”
