B-Town CELEBS who tried being “Directors” but failed.

1. AJAY DEVGAN- In 2008, Devgn directed U Me Aur Hum, his debut and sole feature film to date. The sweet love drama, which also starred Kajol, failed to make much of an impact at the movie office, taking in only roughly 11 crore rupees despite the two actors’ powerful performances. Devgn is trying his hand at directing once more with the high-octane action movie Shivaay, which is made by Eros International and in which he also acts.

2. NASEERUDDIN SHAH- Yun Hota To Kya Hota, a drama about four characters whose lives collide during the 9/11 tragedy, was directed by Shah and published in 2006. The ensemble cast of the movie, which also included Konkona Sen Sharma, Ayesha Takia, Paresh Rawal, Jimmy Shergill, Irrfan Khan, and others, brought in a little under 70 lakh at the box office.

3. RISHI KAPOOR- Kapoor sat in the director’s chair alongside several other members of his family. Akshaye Khanna and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan starred in the romantic family drama Aa Ab Laut Chalein, which promoted love for India and all things Indian. With box office receipts of 9 crores, the movie did less than normal.

4. ANUPAM KHER- The family epic Om Jai Jagadish, which starred Waheeda Rehman, Anil Kapoor, Fardeen Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, and Urmila Matondkar, was the only movie the globally acclaimed actor has ever directed. The sugar-coated story’s box office earnings were just approximately 6 crores, making it a commercial flop.
