With the COVID-19 pandemic, all industries, companies, theatres, malls, stadiums, educational institutions and what not have been shut down.
But in this lockdown too, the chain of Hilton Hotels is serving food from six places across India, through Swiggy and Zomato. Though the menu is limited to 20 items, the customers can order and receive a ‘safe and contactless delivery’ at their doorstep.
“Currently, six Hilton properties are operational for food delivery via Zomato and Swiggy — Conrad Bangalore, Conrad Pune, Hilton Garden Inn Gurgaon, Hilton Chennai, DoubleTree Ahmedabad, and Hilton Mumbai. The group plans to soon expand this service to 9-10 more properties across Delhi-NCR, Mumbai, Bangalore, Pune, Ahmedabad, Lucknow and Chennai,” a statement from the company said.
They declared that they have taken all safety measures and strict hygiene precautions in the preparation and delivery of food.
They said that they are ensuring safety by using masks, sanitizers, gloves. Also, they are conducting timely medical tests over the staff, checking temperatures, sanitizing the delivery vehicles and cleanliness checks. The food is packaged in biodegradable paper, plastic and cardboard containers.
The management declared that their customers were missing the food from their favorite restaurant in this lockdown. So after several talks and discussions, with the customer’s feedback, the Hilton is again serving its signature dishes in 6 places.
The food can be ordered through online platforms Swiggy and Zomato.
