Over 500, including 162 in Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), 82 in Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), 32 in Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) and 17 in SSB have been reported to have corona.
Most of these cases have been reported from Delhi, while there are 50 BSF cases in Tripura and 19 from CISF in other parts of the country.
There have been two deaths in BSF and one each in CRPF, ITBP and CISF in the past few days. One of them had a critical kidney ailment and he contacted the virus at a hospital. The second personnel had died at Safdarjung hospital on May 4 and after his death, he was confirmed of having the infection.
At present, BSF has 221 active cases, with two persons recovering from the infection.
The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has suggested officials give ‘work from home’ for personnel who are are not deployed on the field.
