Delhi L-G Anil Baijal inaugurates world’s largest Covid19 care centre in Chattarpur

On 5th July, Sunday Delhi’s Lieutenant Governor inaugurated the world’s largest Covid care centre and hospital at the Radha Soami Satsang Beas in Chhatarpur. The covid care centre got its name by the name of great Indian leader Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. Sardar Patel covid care and the hospital has a service of 10,000 beds with a motive to serve the citizens of Delhi and NCR and helped them to fight against the Corona Virus.

Indo Tibetan Border Police will be in charge of the operation at this covid care centre and hospital. More than 2000 ITBP and other central armed police with the help of doctors will treat patients. Volunteers from the religious section are also going to give their services to the centre and hospital whereas the Delhi government has been providing all administrative support.

With the largest covid care centre, Sardar Patel covid care centre and the hospital have some unique services also. There are two segments in the hospital Covid Care Centre( CCC) and Dedicated Covid Health Care (DCHC). CCC has 90 per cent of beds and DCHC have 10
per cent of beads with oxygen supply for serious patients.

All about Sardar Patel covid care centre and hospital. Critical patients will shift to the hospital. Beds are made of the cupboard with matures of foam and pillow (all the substance used is biodegradable). There are 88 blocks and each block has 100 beds.

Whole covid care centre and the hospital are under CCTV surveillance of Delhi police. Special attention is given to cleaning. The centre is going to treat approx 10,000 patients. More than 1,000 doctors, nurses and staff of ITBP are deployed here.

Special facilities of electric vehicles and e -rickshaws have been provided for patients to assist them in their commute to the washroom and other medical facilities. It’s a 300-acre sprawling campus.

After the inauguration, Anil Baijal highlighted some points about the covid care centre and hospital. A special team of counsellors for mentally traumatic patients have been deployed. The hospital has a good team of psychiatrists and specialists in medicine. Gaming facilities will also be provided while receiving treatment people can play board games and badminton. Delhi has a total of 97,200 cases with 25,940 active cases and 68,256 recoveries on its tally.
