Delhi University released an official notice and changed the academic calendar due to coronavirus

Delhi University has made alterations to the academic session of 2019-20 keeping in mind the nationwide lockdown conducted till May 3 amidst the coronavirus pandemic. The even semester classes will now be dispersed on May 3 instead of April 28.
The University reported this to the students through the circular stating, “In view of the unprecedented situation prevailing in the world leading to the lockdown in the country till 03.05.2020, the University of Delhi has partially modified the Academic Calendar 2019-2020 notified vide notification dated March 25, 2019, by extending the date of dispersal of classes for even semester of the academic session 2019-20 from 28.4.2020 to 15.5.2020”.

The classes of the even semester had commenced from January 1, 2020, and the practical exams were planned from April 28, after the dismissal of classes. The theory exam was timetabled on May 11. The current situation has led the officials to revise the calendar and they will announce the further dates after everything is back to normalcy.
On Tuesday, Delhi University had also organised a webinar titled “COVID- 19 and the challenges of the visually impaired”, in concern of the visually challenged students and to support them during this period of utter crisis. They have decided to make a strategy with regard to these blind students to be promulgated in public.
