Agent is a 2023 Indian Telugu spy action thriller movie. The main roles are played by Akil Akkineni, Mammootty, Dino Morea, Sakshi Vaidya and Vikramjeet Vilk.
The agent was announced in September 2020. Filming took place in Hyderabad, Budapest, Visakhapatnam and Manali. The film’s release has been delayed multiple times due to the COVID-19 pandemic and production delays. Agents was released theatrically on April 28, 2023.
Ramakrishna “Ricky” has aspired to become a RAW agent since childhood. His dreams nearly come true when he meets RAW’s boss, Colonel Mahadev (aka “The Devil”), who orders him to disguise himself as a newcomer and protect Dharma (aka “God”). He founded his own crime syndicate in Budapest. Allied with Home Minister Jayadev, he plans to use a “supercell” against India.
The music rights to this film are owned by Lahari Music and T Series. Previously, Taman S was chosen as the film’s score and soundtrack composer. Later, in September 2021, Thaman was replaced by Tamil music duo Hiphop Tamizha. The first single titled “Malli Malli” was released on February 22, 2023. The second single “Endhe Endhe” was released on March 24, 2023. His third single titled ‘Rama Krishna’ was released on April 13, 2023. Released 4th single “Wild Saala” on April 25, 2023.
