‘Elvis’ is a 2022 Youth musical film directed by Baz Luhrmann. He also co-wrote the screenplay with Sam Bromell, Craig Pearce, and Jeremy Doner for a story conceived by Luhrmann and Doner. The film follows the life and career of the composer and actor Elvis Presley(Austin Butler). As well as his complicated relationship with his manager, Colonel Tom Parker (Tom Hanks).
Helen Thomason, Richard Roxburgh, Olivia Dejonge, Luke Bracey, Natasha Bassett, David Wenham, Kelvin Harrison Jr., Xavier Samuel, and Kodi Smit-MC Phee are also acting in this film. In the film ‘The Ladd Company’s founder, Alan Ladd. Jr. Dedicated to the memory of those who died in March 2022.
Elvis premiered at the 2022 Cannes film festival on 25 May 2022 and is scheduled for theatrical release on 23 June 2022 in Australia by Universal Pictures and 24 June 2022 in Warner Bros Pictures USA. The film has received generally positive reviews, especially those praising Bulter’s performance.
