A Nigerian film “Fate of Alakada: The Party Planner” is set to release on March 5th, 2021 on Netflix. It is a comedy film written by Moshood Yakubu Olawale and Ozioma Ogbaji. The film has been directed by Kayode Kasum.
The movie is about the pop culture in Nigeria and a social media influencer who pretends to be an event planner hosting star-studded events. Yetunde played by Toyin Abraham, is a young girl who belongs to a poor family.
Due to her insecurity about her status, she decides to conceal her identity with the help of social media and gain attention from the rich influencers and well-known stars as she is into partying. The film has been released during the Independence Day of Nigeria in 2020.
It has received positive reviews and it was also the highest-grossing movie last year in the country. The movie will make audiences around the globe laugh. The movie stars Toyin Abraham, Broda Shaggi and Mercy Eke as the lead actors.
