The action comedy Jailer, which will be released in Tamil in India, was written, directed, and produced by Kalanithi Maran of Sun Pictures. It features Ramya Krishnan, Tamannaah, Shiva Rajkumar, and Rajinikanth.
The movie, which was given the working title Thalaivar 169 because it was Rajinikanth’s 169th film, was formally announced in February 2022. The official title Jailer was revealed in June. In Chennai, principal photography commenced in August 2022 and was completed in April 2023. Anirudh Ravichander is the composer of the soundtrack. The movie is slated for release on August 10th, 2023.
Plot- A gang seeks to free their leader from jail, but the jailer of the jail foils their efforts by putting on a show for the other prisoners.
Anirudh Ravichander is the music director, and this is his third project with Rajinikanth (after Petta and Darbar in 2019 and 2020, respectively), as well as his fourth with Nelson (following Kolamaavu Kokila in 2018 and Doctor and Beast in 2021 and 2022, respectively).
