The much-awaited movie, Lines, is receiving all the deserving acclaim and recognition globally. The movie starring Hina Khan is releasing on 29th July. Hina Khan took to social media on July 15 to inform her fans about the same. She wrote on Instagram, “Presenting LINES, a film and a work of art which is extremely close to my heart on @vootselect on 29th of July. So honoured that the film is a part of the Voot select film festival and as the poster launch of the film (in Cannes) LINES is releasing in India with a lineup of some amazing films featuring stunning actors and directors. Couldn’t have wished a better platform!” The teaser was also received very well by the audience.
Lines are directed by Hussain Khan and written by Kunwar Shakti Singh and Rahat Kazmi. The film also stars Rishi Bhutani, playing a Pakistani guy, who eventually falls for Khan, who is playing the role of an Indian Muslim girl. The former Big Boss Contestant shared her elation about the film through a social media post on July 14, ” Meet NAZIA, in a story of a naive young girl, who makes her journey through the challenges created by mankind. I’m so thrilled to announce that my first co-produced award-winning film under the banner @hirosfbf-LINES is releasing on @vootselect I can’t wait for you all to watch this pure love that we all have worked on.”, she wrote.
The movie is the true depiction of the struggles of the period of partition. It portrays the love that is divided by borders, an innocent yet gritty young girl, Nazia represents the pains of the people of Kashmir who have been the sufferers of the hatred between two countries. The actress received the Best Actress award for the film at the Montgomery International Film Festival in the USA. The film was also nominated in the Best Picture category at the MIFF (Mumbai International Film Festival) awards.
