The film revolves around five individuals grappling with the loss or impairment of a specific sense: sight, taste, smell, touch, and hearing. Neha (played by Amruta Subhash), a renowned photographer, loses her vision. Sagar (played by Umesh Kamat), a celebrated chef, battles anosmia. Maya (played by Priya Bapat), a perfumer, struggles with anosmia. Akash (played by Siddharth Jadhav), a sculptor, grapples with the loss of tactile sensation. And Aditi (played by Tejashree Pradhan), a musician, confronts deafness.
Sachin Kundalkar’s directorial debut with Panchak provides a novel viewpoint to the thriller genre. The film is produced by Zed Studios, a famous banner recognised for its devotion to quality films. Panchak has an estimated budget of 40 crores and promises amazing graphics, unique sound design, and a thoughtfully constructed ambience that engages the senses.
Panchak has an all-star lineup of prominent Marathi actors. Amruta Subhash, recognised for her subtle portrayals, gives Neha depth and vulnerability. Umesh Kamat portrays Sagar’s inner agony in a multi-layered manner. As Maya, Priya Bapat lends a tinge of mystery. As the contemplative Akash, Siddharth Jadhav shines.
