Raaghu is a Kannada movie written by Atharva Arya and directed by Anand Raj. It stars Vijay Raghavendra as the main hero.

The plot begins with Raaghu (Vijay Raghavendra) being held captive in an abandoned factory. He tries to escape while being tormented by rats attracted by the smell of blood. Flashbacks tell us how Raag, as a medical delivery boy suffering from asthma during the day, is involved in a theft with his friend Munna at night. His plan to escape to Dubai with his lover Jennifer goes awry when Munna betrays him and blackmails Raag into performing various tasks to save his girlfriend’s life. The story progresses through several engaging episodes. Each one has its own distinctive title such as Drug on Wheels, Catch Me if You Can, Ring Master, House of the Dead, The Holy Water, Karma, The Last Show, etc. to keep viewers on edge.

This may not be the first solo-actor Kannada film. But Vijay Raghavendra’s Anand Raj’s attempt at minimalist cinema with his solo performance is a commendable achievement. If you’re tired of epic visuals, big action scenes, and exotic locations, this movie offers a refreshingly different experience.
