A new action thriller movie in the Telugu language called Salaar will be written, produced, and directed by Prashanth Neel and released by Hombale Films. Along with Prabhas, Prithviraj Sukumaran, Shruti Haasan, and Jagapathi Babu, it features the eponymous character.
Principal filming for the movie at Godavarikhani, Telangana, started in January 2021 after it was announced in December 2020. Bhuvan Gowda handled the cinematography, while Ravi Basrur created the soundtrack.
There is no official release date for the movie.
Plot- A gang leader battles the other criminal gangs while attempting to fulfil a commitment made to a dying buddy.
By March 2022, around 30% of the shoot had been done. The idea was to continue filming in May once Radhe Shyam (2022), starring Prabhas, and K.G.F: Chapter 2 (2022), starring Neel, were released. The shoot was further delayed, though, when Prabhas suffered a knee injury in March while on holiday in Spain. Prabhas and Haasan joined the sets in Hyderabad’s Ramoji Film City in June 2022, marking the start of a fresh schedule. Additionally, the crew spent around 10 crores filming a 20-minute action scene in the middle of the ocean.
According to reports, Dark Centric Theme (DCT) technology was used for the first time in an Indian movie to shoot Salaar. The consequence would be a darker colour palette and lighting design for the movie.
