Antoine Fuqua will be directing the forthcoming American vigilante action movie The Equaliser 3. It is the follow-up to the 2018 movie The Equaliser 2 and will be the last chapter of the trilogy under the same name that is largely based on the TV show. Denzel Washington plays Robert McCall, a retired U.S. Marine and former DIA officer, in the movie. The movie also stars Dakota Fanning, David Denman, Sonia Ammar, and Remo Girone.
Plot- Robert McCall relocates to Southern Italy to get away from his past, but finds that the local criminal lords there who are part of the Sicilian Mafia are in charge of his new companions. The horrible events that ensue see Robert unleashing his former self in order to defend his new pals.
For the first time since 2004’s Man on Fire, Washington and Fanning are seen together again on film. After Training Day (2001), The Equaliser (2014), The Magnificent Seven (2016), and The Equaliser 2 (2018), this movie marks Washington and Fuqua’s sixth collaboration.
Sony Pictures Releasing is scheduled to release the movie on September 1, 2023.
