The Many Saints of Newark is an upcoming English crime drama that is expected to have a release in both theatres and OTT platforms on the first of October. The movie is directed by Alan Chase and produced by David Chase, Lawrence Konner, and Nicole Lambert. This will also be a prequel to Chase’s HBO crime drama series, ‘The Sopranos’. The film will star Alessandro Nivola, Leslie Odom Jr, Jon Bernthal, Corey Stoll, Michael Gandolfini, Billy Magnussen, Michela De Rossi, John Magaro, Ray Litto and Vera Farmiga.
The movie revolves around Anthony Soprano who is raised in a very tumultuous Newark who becomes a man as the rivals begin to rise up and challenge the DiMeo family’s hold over the increasingly race-torn city. Soprano idolises DIckie Moltisani, his uncle who struggles to keep up with his personal and professional responsibilities. His uncle plays a very major role in the transformation of Anthony SOprano to Tony Soprano.
