The Stand is an American post-apocalyptic dark fantasy series based on the novel “The Stand” by Stephen King. The creators of the miniseries are Benjamin Cavell and Josh Boone.
The main cast includes James Marsden, Odessa Young, Alexander Skarsgard, Owen Teague, Nat Wolff, Irene Bedard, Henry Zaga. Filming was done in British Columbia in 2019 and finally completed in March 2020.
The horror series premiered on Voot Select dated 17th December 2020. The storyline is based on a deadly man-made virus called “Captain Tips” and the Dark man’s ultimate goal to conquer the remaining population of the Earth. The Stand is streaming in India on Voot Select, with consecutive episodes every Friday. The John Boone directorial depicts the elemental struggle between good and evil.
