Imagine the word depression goes with the comedy-drama genre. But The Starling, a film directed by Theodore Melfi, is releasing on 17 September on Netflix.
The concept is as subjective and as sensitive for any ordinary couple. Theodore Melfi showcased the beautiful way when the situation goes down to the road between a couple. Melissa McCarthy and Chris O’Dowd are the main cast. The movie is written by Matt Harris and co-produced by Kimberly Quinn and Dylan sellers.
The trailer hints at the storyline, where the couple probably lost their infant or child and, the grief has taken a toll on them. Jack has already taken therapies at a psychiatric clinic, whereas Lily seemed busy running her errands. But, the constant denial of her emotions led to transformations and ultimately to reach the stage of depression. There Kevin Kline introduced her to the Starlight.
It wouldn’t be wrong to say how the birds become the light at the end of the tunnel for the character of Lily. But eventually, it’s Kevin who played the role of, Larry a psychologist turned veterinarian. Even though the hardships, the couple maintain their love constant. The wait is worth it!
