A new Netflix documentary series called Tour de France: Unchained explores the tale of the 2022 Tour de France.
When it was revealed that it was being made in March 2022, camera crews were placed into seven of the competing teams. The series provides exclusive, behind-the-scenes access to the highs and lows of the Tour de France and was produced as part of a joint venture between Quadbox and Box to Box Films, the producers of F1: Drive to Survive. The project also included assistance from France Télévisions.
There will be eight episodes in the series, with a 45-minute running time.
On June 8th, Netflix will start streaming the show.
Netflix reportedly paid a total of €1 million to all parties involved, covering the €8 million in production costs for the television show. It is believed that each of the competing teams received about $62,000.
