Facebook summoned a technoid that shared false advertisements and misleading information about Corona virus

Facebook is trying to put an end to advertisements that assure panacea to all COVID 19 victims and also ways to avert the virus, asserted Facebook to Business Insider. Mark Zuckerberg, CEO, Facebook has affirmed that the social media would strive to tackle the coronavirus related misleading information providing the World Health Organisation (WHO) free advertisements. In one of his posts on Facebook, he announced the company’s operation with organisation like WHO, UNICEF and US Center’s for Disease Control and Prevention to extract reliable facts on a daily basis.

Facebook has hitherto taken up steps to combat against the humbugging related to the virus, leading to removal to erroneous details from the page. Even Instagram (also owned by Facebook) has restricted a number of hashtags associated with COVID 19. Twitter has also taken a hard stance to ban falsified facts and figures, after being condemned that they permitted misinformations to spread in the networing site . A new set of terms and conditions have been published in a blog post acknowledging it’s users that they would need to take down contents if found against the jurisdiction of public health officials.

The rumours regarding the virus has reached manifold through private messages. Though the networking sites have put in efforts to curb the menace of sharing inappropriate content, yet they couldn’t stop their users from misleading others through private chats. Unsuitable diet plans took over the media during the initial days of the outbreak of COVID-19 and deluded people to wrong intake of nutrients. It’s high time to pull up the cocks and fight against this pandemic in the right way.
