His mother has also been one of the famous actresses of the 90s. His grandfather was a film director in his time.
Sooraj completed his schooling at Pali Hill School in Mumbai and after that, he did not go to college, he studied only till class 12th. Sooraj was not interested in studies from the beginning, he used to bunk from his school and go to see birds and fish on the banks of a pond. He has also failed twice in school. He completed his schooling from an open school as he had no interest in studies.
