Celebrity couple Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia D’Souza graced the 10th episode of actor Arbaaz Khan’s digital talk show on trolling culture, Pinch season 2. Apart from addressing their viral video with Preity Zinta, the two gave befitting replies to nasty comments by trolls and revealed how they deal with criticism and hate online.
A promo of the upcoming episode was shared on YouTube today and it’s already going viral. In the promo, the host is seen reading a troll comment which addressed Genelia as ‘Besharam, cheap, vulgar aunty‘. Responding to the troll, Genelia sarcastically said, “I don’t think he’s having a good day at home. I hope you are well, bhai Saab. I hope you are really okay at home.”
Here’s what the troll commented about Genelia on her post: “Besharam, cheap, vulgar aunty, always overacting. Doesn’t suit your age and face especially when you’re married and got two kids dadi amma. Even kids will be shocked and embarrassed with all your overacting. They’ll be like, ‘Even we don’t act anything like this.“
Later, in the episode, Riteish is seen saying that trolling is a part and parcel of fame and it’s something that celebs must accept and get used to. “It’s okay for people to come because you’re putting yourself out there. I don’t think one should take offence. I always write, ‘Love you too, my friend’,” he said.
