Harbhajan believes that ‘if Virat, Rohit get out, we tend to lose 70% of the matches’

Talking to Rohit Sharma during an Instagram Live session on Thursday, veteran off-spinner Harbhajan Singh said that the current Indian team is a bit too dependent on captain Virat Kohli and his deputy in shorter formats, Rohit Sharma himself.
Bhajji also said that the team has low self-confidence and self-belief and that it loses most of the matches in which both of the above-mentioned cricketers, Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma get out.

Harbhajan Singh shared his views when Rohit Sharma asked him to point out the differences between the past and the present Indian team.
“The current Indian side is dependent on Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma. The side does not have much confidence, there are good players but once Virat and Rohit get out, 70 per cent of matches we tend to lose. There is a lack of self-belief,” said Harbhajan.

“In our times, we had a lot of trust and belief. If the top three of the current Indian side are dismissed, then we have problems in winning matches, you need to find more watch winners.
You had a good World Cup, but then you lose in the semi-finals, if you had 3-4 guys performing, we would have won the World Cup,” Harbhajan added.

During the live session, when Rohit Sharma’s fans asked about MS Dhoni’s future, he said he had no idea about it. MS Dhoni has not played international cricket since the World Cup of 2019 and IPL 2020 was seen as a chance for his comeback but that has been postponed indefinitely due to the COVID-19 pandemic. There have been various speculations going about his future in cricket.
