Haryana will not reopen malls and religious places in Faridabad and Gurugram

The government of Haryana has allowed the reopening of all religious places and malls from the 8th of June in a regulated manner except for Faridabad and Gurugram which are worst hit by the virus as the statement of Saturday says. The other hospitality places have been permitted to open and follow the generic protocol of measures. The timings have been fixed for the reopening from 9 am to 8 pm followed by the night curfew from 9 pm to 5 am.

A statement from the government said, “the Haryana government has decided to reopen religious places and places of worship for the public and the shopping malls followed by the regulated and restricted manner of social distancing and other measures defined, from 8 of June except in Faridabad and Gurugram in the view of a large number of positive cases being found on a daily basis in the last 10 days in these districts.

As per the health department’s bulletin issued on Saturday, out of over 3,000 cases reported, 1692 are from Gurugram and 20 are from Faridabad, and from the fatalities reported 10 are from Gurugram and 4 are from Faridabad out of the total of 24 deaths till now.

A meeting held in the view of the decision by the centre to reopen the places was held by Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar and attended by the head of both heath and home departments, Anil Vij and Deputy chief minister, Dushyant Chautala.

It was said by Centre that the lockdown that was initiated on March 25 will be relaxed to a great extent by allowing the reopening of shopping malls and religious places from the 8th of June, along with the strictness to be continued till June 30 in the highly affected areas of the country.

The head of health and home, Anil Vij said in a statement, “in Gurugram and Faridabad, the religious places will remain closed to the public till the time being.

However, in other parts, these will open and people will have to follow the guidelines” The chief minister directed authorities to regulate and restrict the activities following the guidelines and instructions issued by the Union ministry of home affairs in a letter and spirit of keeping in view the prevailing conditions of the covid 19 outbreak in Haryana.

Ministry of home affairs has extended lockdown in the worst-hit areas till June 30 and allowed to open the places with regulated manner and measure in other places.

Khattar stated the safety measures should be followed and it should be checked that people are practising social distancing and wearing of masks and covering are made mandatory in places with the relaxed lockdown.

“It was decided that no aarti, congregation or mass and collective gatherings for prayers will be allowed and no physical offerings like Prasad or distribution or a sprinkling of holy water are allowed inside religious places.”

The community kitchens should also observe social distancing and cleaner approach while preparing and distributing the food.banquet halls with 2000 square feet of space to be allowed with a maximum of 50 guests at a time and follow social distancing. Restaurants and food places are allowed to operate with 505 of capacity and not to offer the buffet service but ordering individually be allowed. the bars in
restaurants are to be shut till the time being while room service and dine takeaway be allowed.

Inside the malls, the gaming zone and cinema halls are said to be closed. For shopping malls other than in Gurugram and Faridabad, such activities have been allowed subject to the restriction of social distancing wearing of face covers and masks which needs to be observed at all times.
