The ‘Dhadak‘ fame star Ishaan Khatter is all set to start the shooting for his new movie ‘Pippa‘, which is based on the book ‘The Burning Chaffees’ written by Brigadier Balram Singh Mehta. The film uncovers the bravery of Brigadier Mehta, a veteran of the 45th Cavalry tank squadron, who, along with his siblings, fought on the eastern front during the Indo-Pakistan War of 1971, which led to the liberation of India’s neighbour Bangladesh. The film is produced by RSVP and Roy Kapur Films and will be directed by Raja Menon.
The cast includes Ishaan Khatter along with Mrunal Thakur, Soni Razdan and Priyanshu Painyuli. The director expressed his excitement of the movie with the following words, ‘I’m beyond excited to venture into the field with our amazing cast and crew. We’ve all been prepping hard for this day, and I cannot wait to bring this incredible story of valour and liberty to the audiences’.
The lead Khatter took to Instagram to show the first look of the movie with the poster of the movie which shows him dressed in a military uniform while operating a battle tank. He captioned the same with, ‘This is going to be special. ‘Shooting’ begins for our #Pippa! Godspeed‘. The post received a lot of love from his fans including his stepbrother, Shahid Kapoor, ‘Ohooooo looking good’ and Katrina Kaif, ‘So exciting’.
