Jammu and Kashmir Govt launches online helpline for migrants

Jammu and Kashmir administrators launched an online portal for its residents who are stuck in other countries due to coronavirus.

A spokesperson said, “The web portal has already been updated with the details of persons who have already registered through www.jktpo.in. Those who have registered can track the progress of their application.”

Many people who already come back home in different states, there are still many people who are stuck in different parts of states and countries.

The spokesperson further said, “ arrangements are being made for trains from various stations across the country”. Trains from different states like Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Assam (for the entire North East), Jharkhand, Bihar, Odisha, West Bengal, Gujarat, Rajasthan and many places in Uttar Pradesh are being planned over the next few days.”

He also said, there will be more train if the number of passengers will be increased.

This web portal is already launched. Its helpline number is ‘0191-2466988’. People can get all the information regarding arrangement on this portal.

There are more than 900 cases in Jammu and Kashmir, of which 11 are death.
