The Kapil Sharma Show host has been summoned by the Crime Branch of Mumbai Police on 7th January for his statement connected with the car designer Dilip Chhabria’s alleged cheating and forgery case.
Kapil Sharma, the actor-comedian has lodged a complaint against Dilip Chhabria, who is the owner of the car modification studio. According to the reports, Kapil Sharma paid money to the designer for his designer luxury vanity van but he said he cheated him as his work was not complete. Now Kapil is summoned by the police to record his statement as a witness.
Chhabria is a celebrity car designer and a manufacturer. He came into limelight in the 90s after creating some fancy designer masterpieces of private cars for many celebs and even vanity vans. But on 28th December 2020, the Mumbai Police arrested him against the complaint of cheating and forgery. Kapil claims that he was cheated when Chhabria didn’t complete his vanity van’s design. One of Chhabria’s luxury cars were also seized.
Also, Mumbai Police informed that Chhabria was connected with the fake registration racket involving self-designed luxury vehicles. Kapil added he ordered a luxury van in 2k17 then he came to know that the man from whom he ordered the van is arrested in other cases.
