Karisma Kapoor celebrates 30 years of Prem Qaidi with throwback pictures. Directed by K.Murali Mohan Rao, the film also starred Harish Kumar, Bharat Bhushan, Paresh Rawal, Dalip Tahil, Asrani and Saif Inamdar. The film also was a remake of the 1990 Telugu film Prema khadi.
Karisma Kapoor dug out precious pictures which were clicked on the sets of Prem Qaidi 30 years ago on its anniversary today. It was exactly thirty years ago, on June 19, 1991, that Prem Qaidi released. The film garnered massive acclaim.
Prem Qaidi is a story that revolves around the life of the daughter of a rich man and a boy who works in a house as a servant. The two fall in love with each other but the father disapproves of their relationship. The story takes a turn when the boy is convicted in a murder conspiracy and a woman in the jail helps him escape.
Karisma Kapoor, who played the role of Neelima, wrote “It’s been 30 years today! Thank you so much for all the love…. ever grateful…. hard work, grit, determination and honesty has always haved the way for me.”
