On Tuesday, it has been reported that Alankrita Sahai, the model turned actress who we saw in Namaste England and Love Per Square Foot, has been robbed. The incident had left the actress shocked.
According to the reports, Sahai was held hostage in her rented Chandigarh residence. This had happened at 12:30 p.m. She had left her entrance door open and three masked men had taken advantage of the situation.
These men had taken her ATM card and had withdrawn ₹50,000 and the other two had kept an eye on her. They had also stolen other things and the overall damage is calculated to be about ₹6.5 lakhs.
The Senior Police Officer, Ketan Basal had said “The victim belongs to the film industry. She was alone in the house. The entry door was open. The robbers forcibly entered and robbed the victim at knifepoint. We have registered a case and have important leads.”
Sahai had informed the police that she recognized one of the men as one of the furniture delivery persons who had come to deliver the furniture for the weekend. Apparently, he and Sahai had some heated arguments. The police have started their investigation regarding the case.
It has also been reported that the robbers were caught in the CCTV footage, this makes the police search a bit easier. We hope that the culprits will be soon caught and given a reasonable punishment.
