President Ram Nath Kovind extends his wishes to the nation on the occasion of Eid Ul-Adha.

President Ram Nath Kovind extended greetings on the occasion of Islamic festival Eid Ul-Adha.

First, he wished everyone on the occasion after that he urged people to follow social distancing, norms and guidelines issued for the pandemic time.

Every year we celebrate each and every festival at a grand level. But this time because of covid pandemic we are there in our limit. Everyone’s cooperation is necessary to break down the coronavirus infection chain.

Idu’l Zuha symbolises the spirit of sacrifice and amity which inspired us to work for the well being of one and all. On this occasion let us share our happiness with the needy and follow social distancing norms and guidelines to contain covid 19 spread.

It’s important to enjoy the festival but it is very important to prevent yourself from Covid-19 infection.

The festival lightens the spirit of brotherhood among people and also known as Sacrifice Feast.

Eid Ul Adha is an Islamic festival to commemorate the willingness of Ibrahim. Ibrahim is also is known as Abraham who followed Allah’s command to sacrifice his son.

Muslims usually sacrifice an animal like a goat or a sheep to prove their devotion and love for Allah. They wear new clothes, visit family members and friends and sacrifice an animal as an act of “Qurbani.”

In the period around Eid-Ul-Adha many Muslims travel to Mecca and the surrounding area in Saudi Arabia to perform hajj pilgrimage.

This time everyone needs to stay at home and perform all the rituals at their home. As like all the past years they are not able to perform namaz at the masjid , meet their relatives and friends and not even organize functions at a grand level. But everything is going to be okay soon. We all hope for the well being of one and all.
