Prince Charles Who Tested Positive For Coronavirus Has Entered His Period Of Isolation

Charles,Prince of Wales or Charles Philip Arthur George is the heir apparent to the British throne as the eldest son of Elizabeth II. He has been the Duke of Cornwall and the Duke of Rothesay since 1952. He is the oldest and longest serving heir apparent in British history. He is also the longest serving Prince of Wales,having held the title since 1958.
Holding the title as “Prince Of Wales”, Charles has been undertaking official duties on behalf of the Queen and the Commonwealth realms. Charles founded the Prince’s Trust in 1976,sponsors The Prince’s Charities,also a patron, president and a member of over 400 other charities and organisations. As an environmentalist,he raised awareness of organic farming and climate change,which has earned him awards and recognitions from environmental groups. His support for alternative medicine, including homeopathy,has been critised by some in the medical community, and his views in the role of architecture in the society and the conservation of historic buildings have received considerable attention from British architects and design critics. Prince Charles has worked on the creation of Poundbury, an experimental new town based on his preferences. He is also an author and co-author of a number of books.

Of recent, Prince Charles tested positive for coronavirus. Clarence House has confirmed the royal diagnosis,adding that the 71-year old heir to the British throne is displaying mild symptoms, but otherwise remains in good health.

It was noted that it is not possible to ascertain from whom the Prince caught the virus owing to the high number of engagements he carried out in his puic role during the recent weeks.

Prince Charles is the first British royal member to have contacted the virus. It was noticed that he most recently attended a dinner reception in London in aid of an Australian bushfire relief, where he had addressed the room in a speech. His wife, the Duchess of Cornwall Camilla Parker-Bowles,has also been tested but does not have the virus.

Prince Charles who has made it a point of avoiding handshakes in recent weeks, instead shares a “namaste” with those he meets on royal engagements. His wife, the Duchess have been self-isolating at their Balmoral Castle residence in Scotland in recent days after postponing a royal tour of Bosnia, Herzegovina, Cyprus and Jordan due to the pandemic.

Prince Charles who is now working from his castle home, is likely not the only royal casualty of coronavirus. It was revealed that Prince Albert of Monaco had also tested positive,noting that both royals attended a Water Aid Charity event, in which they sat opposite from one another in a cramped boardroom.

It is not yet known when Prince Charles was last seen in the company of his mother, Queen Elizabeth.Precautions have been taken to ensure the Queen is out of harm’s way,relocated from London to Windsor Castle a week early for the Easter period, where she will remain indefinitely.

A number of events in the coming months involving Prince Charles, the Queen and other members of the royal family were recently cancelled.
Europe has become the epicenter of the coronavirus outbreak. In the United Kingdom,more than 8,000 have tested positive for coronavirus, while 422 people have died.

Prince Charles is now operating under the current standard government and medical restrictions that applies across United Kingdom regarding social distancing and only leaving the home for essential needs.
It was noted that he would continue to hold meetings via phone and video conferencing, which he has been doing from his home in the Scottish highlands since the diagnosis was announced. The Prince’s self-isolation will last seven days in accordance with government and medical guidelines.

Members of the royal family, both of Charles’ two sons, Prince William and Prince Harry have been speaking out on the importance of unity and support during this pandemic.
